What Is Ashtanga Yoga?

One of the best parts of practicing yoga is that there are always new directions to take, different styles to try and challenging poses to master. One of the more uncommon styles that we offer, that provides challenges and novelty is Ashtanga yoga.

Ashtanga yoga is one of the more demanding practices of yoga, challenging you to master a series of poses. During each class, you will practice the same poses, and they will always be in the same order. Not every class will incorporate all of the poses, but even when some are added or subtracted, they will be in the same order.

This style of yoga demands concentration to master each pose, along with the breathing pattern and ability to meditate, making it a perfect style for athletes. Ashtanga yoga is also extremely beneficial for people that enjoy mastering skills before moving on. You can also count on a routine, regardless of how long you practice this style, as well as a comfortable room temperature and a quiet environment.
