When I took my first yoga class, I had no idea what I was doing and how deeply it would transform my life. Starting with vinyasa, and yin, my quest for deeper knowledge of the subject of yoga naturally led me to the practice and teachings of BKS Iyengar. The depth, intelligence, and directness of the Iyengar system make transformation possible for everyone. I have been a certified RYT since 2008 and became a certified Iyengar Introductory level I/II yoga teacher in 2015.
Orit discovered the sanctuary of yoga nearly a decade ago, while trying to balance the stresses of a demanding career in the finance field of corporate America. As a former competitive swimmer who appreciates a healthy sweat, Orit was at first attracted to yoga for its physical benefits. She found the physical postures of yoga both fun and challenging, but the unexpected gift she discovered through yoga was the shift in perspective that it brought into her life. Orit remembers leaving yoga class one day feeling different - calm, peaceful, and connected, with a huge smile on her face that she couldn’t wipe off. As Orit continued to deepen her practice and delve into yoga studies, she found herself transformed, and realized that teaching yoga was her true calling in life. As a 500-ERYT with Yoga Alliance, and YogaWorks trained, Orit is honored to share the healing benefits of this ancient practice with others. Orit’s classes are dynamic and fun, with an emphasis on intelligent sequencing and precise alignment. Orit teaches with the awareness that no two bodies are the same, and that everyone has their own practice. Orit believes in the importance of providing modifications and variations in her public classes so that each student can progress along his or her own unique journey. One of the things Orit loves about yoga is that you can show up to your mat exactly as you are, and work toward your own personal edge to grow into your best version of yourself. Orit believes that yoga is for every BODY, every age, every bank account. Orit feels blessed everyday to teach yoga, and to watch her students grow and thrive.
Jessie started practicing the physical postures of yoga in her early 20's to help overcome identity, and trauma issues she was struggling with. Over the years her practice has evolved and taken her to new places in her body and mind. She is a 500 hour certified teacher who really believes in the power of the breathe and the intentions we set our in our minds. Jessie loves linking postures together that are fun to flow, and are anatomically safe for the body. She thinks of vinyasa classes as puzzle pieces you put together with an intention of having practitioners leave feeling energized and whole instead of tired and worn out. An Arizona native, she loves Los Angeles and when she isn't on her mat or teaching yoga you can find her soaking up the sunlight on a beach.
Affi initially started her yoga practice in the Iyengar tradition in 1998 in Honolulu. Upon moving back to Los Angeles, she continued to study with Chris Stein and Eric Small among others, as well as travelling to Pune twice to study with the Iyengar family.
She continues her studies under the tutelage of her senior teacher Mahyar Raz, an Advanced Junior II teacher; who heads the Toronto studio.
Her travels, the influence of a diverse group of teachers as well as the changes in her own practice in the last 20 years, has given her a sensibility to adjust her teaching to her students’ needs while still keeping her class progressive and informative. Making each class a mindful journey of inner exploration and a discovery of abilities and strengths not limitations. This is the beauty of Iyengar yoga; the fact that it is accessible to all ages.
Affi is an Introductory II certified Iyengar teacher.

Nancy continues her study of Iyengar yoga with the Iyengars, Manouso Manos and Paul Cabanis.

Seeker. Explorer. Intermediate Senior III Iyengar Yoga teacher.
Fundamentals through advanced. Challenging, informative, fun.

As a direct student of the late BKS Iyengar and daughter Geeta, I polish my studies in Pune, India annually since 2000. I am also grateful to have assisted in medical classes under their tutelage. I believe the discipline of practice, especially sequencing of learning, is key to freedom and enhancing one’s potential … having some fun along the way is also vital!
In addition to regular classes, I offer workshops for other persons with MS and neurological challenges.I teach in LA and worldwide. Private instruction available.

I became a certified Iyengar teacher in 1995. I had the immense privilege of being personally instructed on several occasions by B.K.S. Iyengar, most intensively during the photo shoot for the book, “Iyengar Yoga: The Path to Holistic Health.” I love the versatility of yoga; it can be used to alleviate suffering on a physical level, but is also the most sophisticated tool for self discovery on psychological and spiritual levels as well. There is much joy to be found in the persistent practice of this transformative and noble healing art, science, and philosophy!
I was first introduced to yoga at age 12, and practiced Martial arts and Yoga throughout my teens. When I moved to LA in 1996, I discovered Iyengar yoga and was drawn to its integrity and intelligent sequencing. It helped me heal my chronic ankle injury and taught me how to deal with my mild scoliosis. In 2001, I went to Pune, India and spent a month studying with the Iyengar family. A few years later I became a certified Iyengar teacher and have been teaching professionally and full time since 2006.
For me yoga is a way to connect to my true self, and I try to live by its principles. I love sharing it with new students, and try to challenge my students to leave their comfort zone and learn the poses in a progressive manner, step by step.
