Meet our Yoga Teachers

Namastday Yoga believes in constant learning. Our yoga teachers have all gone through rigorous training and assessments to gain the knowledge that they have now. All Iyengar teachers are certified by the Iyengar Yoga National Association of the United States. They understand their responsibilities to the students and provide well rounded yoga classes.

Steph Kang aka turtle Flow yoga is a E-RYT 200®, RYT 500® yoga instructor certified through YogaWorks and Bryan Kest's Power Yoga. She's dedicated to guiding her students find their inner sparkle. She's inspired by the healing and transformative effects yoga has on students of all ages and levels. In her classes, Steph emphasizes breath, mindfulness and play to ensure that students come out of each class feeling light, joyful, calm, stronger and flexible. She loves to cultivate the feeling of oneness through music, animals, traveling, art and doga (yoga with dogs). "Go Within & Find Your Inner Sparkle!"
Nadjiba Medjaoui has been practicing Yoga since 2004. In 2010, she moved to Los Angeles to study Yoga and healing modalities. Soon she became a YogaWorks 200 hours certified instructor. She is passionate about the therapeutic and healing effect of Yoga which, brought her to study Yoga Tune Up® with Jill Miller and Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky.
She is an integrated Yoga Tune Up® teacher and a Holistic Health Coach certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a Tensegrity® instructor. She holds a bachelor degree in Architecture and is passionate about building with natural materials. She speaks English, French and Arabic.
Poopack has been practicing Yoga ever since she took her first class in 2002. Her passion for Yoga has evolved over the years as her mat has become her best friend. She continues to practice daily and is always searching for beautiful things in life to inspire her teaching skills. She is a graduate of the 500 hour teacher training program through YogaWorks. Poopack truly believes that Yoga can heal everyone, as well as encourage beginning students. She recognizes different levels and strengths and strives to accommodate all of her students. Poopack's Yoga classes are energetic, fun, constructive, and passionate as well as a fantastic workout. Her love of life, family, and of course Yoga are all integrated into her practice and teach. Michaela was introduced to yoga more than 15 years ago in 2005, she became a committed student of Marla Apt and Lisa Walford. She also regularly participates in classes with Manouso Manos and Gloria Goldberg.
Being a mom of three, and experiencing a daily amount of chaos herself, Michaela likes to help her students finding inner strength and calmness by guiding them step by step through the asanas.
Andrea Restivo, E-RYT 200 Yoga Instructor Andrea is known for her genuine, supportive, non-judgmental teaching and her compassion centered philosophy. She inspires growth of the physical and spiritual self, offering the interconnections to each other, the world, and the Universe at large.

Andrea Restivo has been practicing and studying yoga for over 15 years. It wasn't until she decided to leave corporate America behind her and follow her passion for yoga that her life was truly transformed. Yoga has been a constant savior in her life both physically and emotionally. Andrea also comes from a dance and Pilates background with about 10 years of martial arts mixed in.

Quitting corporate and having the courage to pursue teaching was both the scariest and best decision she's ever made in her life. "Without my yoga practice my life would not be as beautiful. And without my students my life would not as fulfilling. I can't imagine doing anything else!"

Andrea teaches a vinyasa style class, incorporating different styles that she has studied over the years. She loves alignment based classes, Iyengar and  kundalini, and dance inspired movement, power flow, meditation and breath work.

Bailey has been calling Los Angeles home since 2012. She discovered yoga in her teens when she stepped away from gymnastics and competitive cheerleading and needed something to supplement her love of movement. Having studied music her entire life, she found herself particularly drawn to Barre style classes, because it incorporated music so heavily. She completed her Yoga Barre Teacher Training under Nancy Norby in Oct 2016.
I have been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 1987. After studying with the Iyengar family in Pune, India, assisting Junior and Senior Iyengar teachers, I received my own Iyengar Teaching Certification in 2004. I love the connection to mind and body as well as the self-reflecting quality that Iyengar yoga provides. Sharing these pathways with students is a very rewarding journey.
Nancy has been teaching Iyengar yoga for 20 years.
She was first attracted to yoga because of B.K.S.Iyengar’s unique approach, which includes attention to body alignment and respect for yoga’s philosophical lineage.

Nancy has studied with the Iyengar family many times in India, the U.S. and China.
Nancy continues her study of Iyengar yoga with the Iyengars, Manouso Manos and Paul Cabanis.


Nancy is a CIYT, Junior Intermediate III certified Iyengar teacher.
Anna Delury is one of Southern California’s Senior Iyengar Yoga teachers and a founder of IYILA. She has traveled regularly to Pune to study with the Iyengar family since 1982. In 1988 she received a BSc. in Kinesiology from UCLA. Known for her insight and wry sense of humor, Anna brings a practical application of yoga philosophy into each class, as she helps guide students to a deeper understanding and awareness of what lies within each of them.

As a direct student of the late BKS Iyengar and daughter Geeta, I polish my studies in Pune, India annually since 2000. I am also grateful to have assisted in medical classes under their tutelage. I believe the discipline of practice, especially sequencing of learning, is key to freedom and enhancing one’s potential … having some fun along the way is also vital!
In addition to regular classes, I offer workshops for other persons with MS and neurological challenges.I teach in LA and worldwide. Private instruction available.

I became a certified Iyengar teacher in 1995. I had the immense privilege of being personally instructed on several occasions by B.K.S. Iyengar, most intensively during the photo shoot for the book, “Iyengar Yoga: The Path to Holistic Health.” I love the versatility of yoga; it can be used to alleviate suffering on a physical level, but is also the most sophisticated tool for self discovery on psychological and spiritual levels as well. There is much joy to be found in the persistent practice of this transformative and noble healing art, science, and philosophy!
I was first introduced to yoga at age 12, and practiced Martial arts and Yoga throughout my teens. When I moved to LA in 1996, I discovered Iyengar yoga and was drawn to its integrity and intelligent sequencing. It helped me heal my chronic ankle injury and taught me how to deal with my mild scoliosis. In 2001, I went to Pune, India and spent a month studying with the Iyengar family. A few years later I became a certified Iyengar teacher and have been teaching professionally and full time since 2006.
For me yoga is a way to connect to my true self, and I try to live by its principles. I love sharing it with new students, and try to challenge my students to leave their comfort zone and learn the poses in a progressive manner, step by step.
I believe in heat and just like B.K.I says, there is no magic pill to master anything. It has to be earned with sweat so get ready for a heated, fun Hatha flow with challenging sequence, lots of prop use, and restoratives at the end
Yoga has been the balance and center of strength providing the daily shift of my rajastic state of mind into a more sattvic place, connecting the body and mind…. the goal of yoga.
I love the endless joy of learning and listening to my body and watching daily how it changes, moving away from thought and the chitta vrittis (fluctuations of the mind), seeing the future created out of the present, living moment to moment… breath to breath.
I want to share my love and passion for Yoga with people. It changed my life over 30 years ago and helped me transform into the best me I could be. As a certified Iyengar teacher, I have developed a dialog between my body and my mind through the instruction of the alignment of one’s body. I realized that the physical body is constantly speaking to us and that we often don’t take time to listen to it because we are so busy with our daily lives and distractions. The improved focus through yoga has a direct effect on meditation and health. I want to share this passion with my students to inspire and guide them through their own self- inquiry and journey through a regular and consistent practice.
Supple body, supple mind ……. Healthy body, happy mind.
